What better way to kick off the giving season than with a collaboration between the Seward Community Foundation and Zudy’s Café for #GiveLocalAK #GivingTuesday day. On Tuesday, Nov. 27, stop by Zudy’s Cafe and purchase a coffee. A matching donation will be made to the Seward Community Foundation’s permanent charitable fund that will be benefit nonprofits in our community now and for generations to come.
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in countries around the world. Millions of people have come together to support and champion the causes they believe in and thecommunities in which they live.
Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27th and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together. #GivingTuesday includes people of all ethnicities, religions and backgrounds. Everyone has something to give. You can give time or expertise, monetary donations large or small, simple acts of kindness, food or clothing.
