Review

Who Can Apply?
Eligible 501 (c)(3) nonprofits and equivalent charitable organizations serving Seward and Moose Pass may apply.
Organizations do not need to focus exclusively on food security. However, the proposed project or program must directly support a local food security need.
What Kinds of Projects Qualify?
- Community meals or food distribution
- School food, snack, or backpack programs
- Food pantries
- Community gardens and local growing projects
- Food preservation programs
- Projects that improve access to nutritious food
These are examples only. Food security is intentionally broad, and other projects may qualify if they directly support local food security needs.
