The Qutekcak Native Tribe (QNT) received a $1,000 mini-grant to purchase a new computer for their finance department. It has been over a decade since the computers in QNT’s office had been upgraded, and their staff has dealt with the frustrations of slow computer speeds.
Like most modern businesses, Qutekcak Native Tribe relies heavily on their computers for day-to-day business functions. “We want our employees to feel valued and not discouraged with losing valuable time waiting for their computers to start up, open applications, or reboot,” said Sarah Shealey, Division Manager for Qutekcak Native Tribe. QNT hopes to eventually update all the computers in their office to increase their employees’ overall happiness and keep performance levels high.
“We are very appreciative of the $1,000 grant for the new computer in the Finance Department of Qutekcak Native Tribe,” said Susan Swiderski, Finance Manager for QNT. “This new computer has improved our functionality, and we appreciate it very much.”
Funding for this grant came from the Seward Community Foundation Fund.
