The Seward Community Band received a $450 mini-grant from the Seward Community Foundation for funds to rent the Seward High School music room for weekly practice sessions. The Seward Community Band performs a handful of free concerts every year for the community to enjoy, including a fall and spring concert, and a Christmas Bazaar.
During their 2019 Spring Concert held on April 25th at the Seward High School Auditorium, the Seward Community Band was able to showcase their talent in a wide variety of music spanning the decades. Featuring arrangements from classical Tchaikovsky, to fan favorites from hit movies, “The Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Greatest Showman,” the Seward Community Band’s Spring Concert made for an exciting evening of entertainment for the whole family.
Be sure to visit the Seward Community Band’s Facebook page for updates on their 2020 concert series.
Funding for this grant came from the Seward Community Foundation Unrestricted Fund.
